Product Overview
This is usually associated with MK12 or Otter Creek Suppressor Barrel Modifications
This is a fee associated with me taking the morning to do the programming and run a test piece that will accommodate the suppressor, tuner or muzzle device that doesn't typically mount to a 5/8-24 / 3/4-24 threaded barrel with an OD of .705", .870", .932" but needs to be modified and proofed.
Shipping Instructions: Sending Your Barrel for Modification
To ensure the safety, security, and precision of your MK12 Barrel Modification, please follow these professional shipping guidelines.
1. Preparation & Safety
-
Barrel Only: Please remove the barrel from the upper receiver unless you have specifically coordinated for a full-build service.
-
Zero Ammunition: Ensure there is no ammunition in the shipping container. Federal law and carrier policies strictly prohibit shipping ammunition and firearms/parts in the same package.
-
Cleanliness: Please wipe down the barrel to remove excessive carbon or grease. This allows us to move straight to the precision measurement phase.
2. Protecting the Precision Surfaces
The barrel crown and threads are the most sensitive parts of your rifle.
-
The "PVC Trick": For maximum protection, we recommend sliding the barrel into a length of PVC pipe with end caps. This prevents the barrel from "punching through" a cardboard box during transit.
-
Bubble Wrap: If a tube is unavailable, wrap the barrel in heavy-duty bubble wrap, ensuring at least 3 inches of padding on both the muzzle and the chamber ends.
-
Secure the Box: Use a heavy-duty, double-walled shipping box. Tape all seams thoroughly with reinforced packing tape.
3. Mandatory Documentation
We cannot begin work without a paper trail. Please include a printed copy of your BigCommerce Order Confirmation inside the box.
-
Note on the Order: If you have specific requirements (e.g., “Profile for AE Long Collar”), please hand-write those details clearly on the packing slip.
-
Contact Info: Ensure your name, return shipping address, and phone number are clearly legible.
4. Choosing a Carrier & Insurance
-
Tracking is Required: We recommend using UPS or FedEx. These carriers provide the most reliable tracking for high-value precision components.
-
Insurance: We strongly advise insuring your package for the full replacement value of the barrel. MTE Machining is not responsible for items lost or damaged during inbound transit.
-
Signature Required: Please ship with "Signature Required" to ensure the package is delivered directly to our team and not left unsecured at the door.
5. Shipping Address
Please ship your barrel to our secure facility:
